Manager - AI & Data (AI & Insights)

About the role

Deloitte AI & Data, the leading data and analytics consulting team in Switzerland, is looking for a Manager - AI & Data (AI & Insights) to lead AI and analytics engagements from discovery to production. The role works 80-100% in Basel, Zurich or Geneva and acts as a bridge between business needs and technical solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead AI and analytics engagements from discovery to production.
• Design complex data and analytics transformations and act as business-IT translator, running workshops and aligning stakeholders.
• Manage cross-functional delivery teams (onshore, nearshore, offshore) with governance, quality assurance and risk management.
• Drive generative and agentic AI initiatives, including LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG patterns, safety guardrails and evaluation approaches.
• Build client relationships, shape proposals, POVs and demos, and identify new opportunities.

Required profile

• At least 6 years of practical experience in consulting, tech companies or industry-specific roles, especially in data-driven fields.
• Strong engineering or mathematics background.
• Fluent English; German and/or French highly preferred.
• Previous experience in banking, insurance, life sciences or healthcare is advantageous.

Required skills

• Solid experience with Python; experience with R is a plus.
• Experience delivering AI, machine learning and analytics solutions on AWS, Azure or GCP; familiarity with LLMs is highly preferred.
• Plus: Snowflake, Databricks, Dataiku, Power BI and Tableau.
• Executive presentation skills and stakeholder facilitation.
