Manager – Indirect Tax/VAT Services

About the role

EY is looking for a Manager to join its Indirect Tax team in either Zug or Luzern. You will work with a diverse client base, helping them navigate the fast‑changing landscape of VAT, e‑invoicing and digital tax compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with indirect tax rules locally and globally for clients across multiple industries.
• Monitor evolving tax regulations, including e‑commerce VAT and e‑invoicing requirements.
• Improve VAT efficiency in supply chains and support digital transformation projects.
• Lead project teams, mentor junior colleagues and manage client engagements from need identification to delivery.
• Collaborate with EY’s global network of indirect tax experts and other service lines to provide holistic solutions.

Required profile

• University degree in Law and/or Economics (Swiss or equivalent).
• 5‑7 years of experience in indirect tax consulting, preferably at a Big 4 or similar firm.
• Proven managerial experience handling client mandates and guiding junior staff.
• Fluent in German and English; additional languages are a plus.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of VAT and indirect tax regulations.
• Experience with e‑commerce VAT rules and e‑invoicing.
• Ability to work in interdisciplinary, multicultural teams.
