Chief of Global Accounting (P5)

About the role

The Chief of Global Accounting leads IOM’s worldwide accounting, statutory reporting and project financial certification functions, ensuring compliance with IPSAS and delivering high‑quality financial information.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee preparation of statutory financial statements and ensure IPSAS compliance.
• Manage management reporting on financial performance and position.
• Certify project financial reports and supervise global accounting operations.
• Define accounting requirements and improve ERP and reporting solutions.
• Conduct internal control assessments, manage financial risk and lead external audit engagements.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance (or Bachelor’s with 12 years experience).
• Professional certification (CA, CPA, ACCA or equivalent).
• At least ten years of progressive leadership in financial management within a multinational or international organization.
• Proven experience in ERP implementation, financial master data, controls and process integration.
• Fluency in English; working knowledge of French or Spanish is an advantage.
