Marketing Communications Specialist – Global Mining & Materials

About the role

ABB is seeking a Marketing Communications Specialist to join its Process Industries division in Switzerland. Reporting to the Global Communications Manager for Mining & Materials, you will work in a hybrid model, collaborating with local management, sales teams, and global business line leads to create and execute integrated communication campaigns.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement communication plans that align with divisional objectives and budget constraints.
• Generate leads through advertising, sponsorship, and promotional activities, leveraging digital channels as an integrated hub.
• Act as a strategic communications partner for local management, driving internal and external communication priorities.
• Lead internal communications and employee engagement initiatives, including town halls, leadership messages, content creation, and recognition programs.
• Support sales enablement by producing sales materials, presentations, customer success stories, and reference collateral.
• Contribute 30% of time to global marketing for the Mining & Materials product line, overseeing thought leadership, lead nurturing, product launches, sales enablement, and social media presence.

Required profile

• University degree in journalism, communication, marketing or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in marketing communications, preferably within an agency or B2B environment.
• Strong project management abilities with capacity to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
