About the role
ABB is looking for a Material Planner to manage end‑to‑end inventory planning and ensure efficient material flow from purchase requisition to customer delivery. The role is hybrid and supports the IPU Buy & Sell in Quartino, Switzerland.
Key responsibilities
- Define inventory policies using ABC/XYZ analysis to optimize stock levels and service performance.
- Calculate and maintain safety stock, reorder points, lot sizes, lead times and replenishment strategies in SAP.
- Coordinate material planning with call‑offs, converting purchase requisitions into purchase orders together with operations, buyers and services.
- Collaborate with buyers to improve supplier on‑time delivery, MOQ, quality, lead time and flexibility.
- Apply logistics knowledge to ensure material availability and end‑to‑end supply‑chain coordination.
Required profile
- At least 5 years of experience in material planning.
- Degree in Management Engineering preferred.
- Strong data‑analysis, structured thinking, teamwork and communication skills.
Required skills
- Proficient in SAP MM/PP.
- Advanced MS Excel.
- Power BI for reporting.
