Mechanical & Electrical Engineering Internship

About the role

Apheros builds liquid cooling cold plates based on metal foams for AI data centers and high-performance computing, with applications in green hydrogen electrolysis. It is a small, technical team working on hardware from prototype to deployment, and it is looking for engineering interns in Baden (80-100% commitment).

Key responsibilities

• Mechanical engineering: work with R&D and engineering teams on the design, testing and iteration of cold plate hardware, from CAD models to physical prototypes.
• Take part in thermal and mechanical testing and see how a deep-tech hardware product is built.
• Electrical engineering: support the team on sensor integration, instrumentation and test setups used to validate performance.

Required profile

• Currently studying or recently graduated in mechanical or electrical engineering, or a closely related field.
• Hands-on, curious and comfortable in a lab or workshop environment.
• Comfortable in a small team where priorities shift quickly.
• English fluent enough to work with the team day to day.
