Mechanical Engineer – Industrial Services

About the role

Techfirm Engineering is seeking a seasoned Mechanical Engineer to join its Industrial Services team in Switzerland. You will work on large‑scale industrial projects, applying your expertise in machine design, fluid dynamics, and structural analysis to deliver high‑performance solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Define architecture, drive requirements, and evaluate technical trade‑offs.
• Create and manage work packages, monitor execution, and support long‑term project planning.
• Model complex assemblies in 3D CAD (SolidWorks, EPDM) and perform detailed simulations.
• Develop electronics cooling solutions and conduct thermal management simulations for harsh environments using tools such as Ansys, Icepak, and Discovery.
• Collaborate closely with system, hardware, RF engineers, external manufacturers, and test facilities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of mechanical engineering experience in aerospace, aviation, defense, or space sectors.
• Strong commitment to Quality by Design and a hands‑on approach to prototyping and testing.
• Professional fluency in English; French is a plus.

Required skills

• Advanced SolidWorks 3D modeling.
• Proficiency with EPDM data management.
• Thermal simulation expertise using Ansys, Icepak, and Discovery.
• Experience with electronics cooling and thermal management in harsh environments.
