Mechanical Integration Engineer

About the role

WayOut is looking for a Mechanical Integration Engineer to bridge mechanical engineering, robotics, and customer integration. You will turn our robotic technology into reliable, field‑ready systems while working closely with customers and travelling to on‑site locations.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical modules from concept sketches through to production.
• Lead integration projects, collaborating directly with customers' engineering teams.
• Visit customer sites to assess existing platforms, define integration strategies, and support system integration.
• Install, set up, troubleshoot, and repair robotic systems on‑site as needed.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of experience in industrial product development, taking mechanical products from concept to production.
• Strong project‑management and organizational abilities, capable of coordinating internal and external projects.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to build trust and influence technical decisions with external engineering teams.
• Willingness to travel regularly and work on‑site with customers.

Required skills

• Extensive CAD design experience.
• Solid background in mechanics, machine design, and engineering calculations.
• Good knowledge of manufacturing, assembly, and industrialisation processes.
• Understanding of mechatronics, including electronics, cabling, and control systems.
• Hands‑on mindset with proficiency in using mechanical tools.
