MES Technical Lead (m/f/d) 80-100%

About the role

Lonza, a global life sciences company, is hiring a full-time (80-100%) MES Technical Lead in Visp, Switzerland. The role covers the daily tasks in production, and the MES team reports to the Team Lead Documentation, who handles personnel management and development. The lead takes part in regular exchange meetings with other team leaders and stakeholders to optimise efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Set priorities and allocate resources to meet deadlines
• Communicate with stakeholders
• Take part in improvement projects
• Ensure safety and GMP compliance
• Recognise, interpret and eliminate deviations
• Take part in audits and visits
• Provide frontline MES technical and procedural support to manufacturing teams, QA and plant engineers
• Train MES team members and support new joiners

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree; Pharmaceutical Technology, Chemistry, Pharmacy or an equivalent scientific degree preferred
• Experience coordinating resources and workflows
• Past experience leading a technical team is an asset
• Fluent English and German (written and spoken) is an advantage
• Willingness to work flexible hours

Required skills

• MES recipe authoring, preferably in Emerson Syncade
• Knowledge of DeltaV is preferable
• Knowledge of sterile drug products is an asset
