National Consultant – Project Assistant

About the role

The International Trade Centre is seeking a National Consultant to support the implementation of the Wool and Mohair Value Chain Competitiveness Project in Lesotho. Working remotely from Lesotho, the consultant will assist the National Project Coordinator and EFI technical advisers in delivering roadshows, bootcamps, incubation and acceleration programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Provide operational support for roadshows, bootcamps, incubation and acceleration activities, including participant registration, logistics, and follow‑up.
• Maintain comprehensive participant and programme records, track attendance, assessments and feedback.
• Collect and organise communication assets such as photos, videos, testimonials and beneficiary stories in line with ITC branding.
• Prepare basic communication materials (social media content, flyers, digital tiles) using approved templates.
• Support training sessions (in‑person, virtual, hybrid) and document outcomes for monitoring and reporting.
• Submit monthly progress reports summarising operations, communications and data compliance.

Required profile

• Experience supporting project implementation, logistics and stakeholder coordination.
• Familiarity with communications and visibility activities for development projects.
• Ability to manage data, maintain accurate records and produce regular reports.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for documentation and reporting.
• Basic digital content creation skills (social media graphics, flyers).
