Network Security Engineer – Palo Alto 2nd/3rd Line

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Security Engineer to support a global Palo Alto Next Generation Firewall rollout. This hands‑on 2nd/3rd line position works within a large, complex enterprise environment alongside network, security and automation teams.

Key responsibilities

• Support and troubleshoot Palo Alto NGFWs across a global network.
• Participate in firewall design, policy changes, upgrades and optimisation.
• Maintain the broader firewall and network security lifecycle.
• Implement automation using Terraform, Ansible and GitLab pipelines where possible.
• Develop API integrations and basic Python scripts to enhance security automation.

Required profile

• Strong, practical experience with Palo Alto firewalls (key requirement).
• 5–10 years of network security experience in enterprise environments.
• Comfortable operating at 2nd/3rd line support level.
• Exposure to automation/DevOps tools such as IaC, Ansible, CI/CD, APIs and Python is a plus.
