Operational Buyer – Small Molecules Supply Chain

About the role

Proclinical is looking for an Operational Buyer to support Small Molecules operations within its Supply Chain team in Switzerland. The role focuses on ensuring reliable and efficient supply chain performance by managing supplier relationships, monitoring performance, and executing Material Requirements Planning (MRP) processes.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and track supplier performance, providing feedback to Strategic Buyers and Category Managers.
• Drive continuous improvement in on‑time delivery, quality, and compliance.
• Resolve Level 2 vendor escalations such as delivery delays, pricing discrepancies, and shipping issues.
• Maintain accurate material and vendor master data in SAP.
• Support supplier qualification, onboarding, and implementation of changes.
• Manage vendor returns (RMAs), cost recovery, and replacements.
• Address Accounts Payable inquiries and conduct regular open‑order review meetings.
• Assist in onboarding new raw materials and suppliers with internal stakeholders.
• Participate in competitive bidding, RFx activities, and support low‑value contract negotiations.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience in procurement or operational buying, preferably with raw materials.
• Strong commercial acumen and strategic mindset.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Fluency in English and German.
