Palantir Foundry Engineer (Abu Dhabi Relocation)

About the role

Unit8, a Swiss data and AI consulting firm and Palantir partner, is expanding its presence in the United Arab Emirates and is hiring a Palantir Foundry Engineer for Abu Dhabi. As one of the first members of the UAE team, you will work directly with client teams to understand their data and operational challenges and design and build Foundry solutions, combining hands-on engineering with close collaboration across business and technical teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, deploy and maintain data solutions using Palantir Foundry.
• Develop and troubleshoot data pipelines and processing systems using Foundry and relevant open-source or proprietary technologies.
• Build and maintain Foundry components such as Ontologies, pipelines and user-facing applications.
• Apply sound engineering practices for testing, data quality, performance, security and maintainability.
• Work with client stakeholders to understand requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Collaborate with engineers, data scientists, product owners and client teams in an agile environment.
• Contribute to technical discovery and solution scoping for prospective and ongoing engagements.
• Help establish Unit8's engineering and delivery approach in the UAE and share knowledge with colleagues.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience with the Foundry platform, ideally within a larger company, with a minimum of 1 year.
• Comfortable interacting with business and technical clients, giving presentations and solving problems.
• Willingness to travel to meet clients and the team.

Required skills

• Foundry: AIP, Workshop, Code repository, Pipeline Builder, Ontology and Data connections, and security concepts such as restricted views and markings.
• Programming: Python and PySpark.
• Nice to have: data modeling and basic data science concepts (classification, clustering, regression).
