Part-time Accountant (40-80%) – Widnau

About the role

We are looking for a part‑time Accountant to join our finance team in Widnau. The role involves managing day‑to‑day accounting activities and supporting month‑end and year‑end closings. You will work closely with operations to ensure accurate financial information for business decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Process invoices and record journal entries.
• Reconcile bank and ledger accounts and monitor expenses and revenues.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing processes.
• Assist in preparing financial reports and ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders on budgeting, cost tracking and inventory‑related accounting.
• Prepare documentation for audits and tax filings.

Required profile

• Strong core accounting knowledge, including general ledger management, journal entries, reconciliations and familiarity with IFRS or local GAAP.
• Experience in financial reporting, balance sheets, income statements and cash‑flow statements.
• Proficiency with accounting software/ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
• High attention to detail, data accuracy and adherence to internal controls.
• Effective communication and collaboration with cross‑functional teams.
• Organizational and time‑management abilities to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Relevant qualification such as a degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or equivalent is a plus.
• Experience in apparel, manufacturing or retail environments and knowledge of inventory and cost accounting is advantageous.
