Part‑time Catering Coordinator & Event Assistant (Hybrid, Bern)

About the role

This part‑time, hybrid position based in Bern supports the planning and delivery of internal and external events, meetings, and workshops for SAP community activities and partner engagements. You will split your time between on‑site event work and remote coordination tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate catering orders and manage related logistics.
• Prepare event materials and ensure venues are set up according to specifications.
• Communicate with vendors, partners, and internal teams to align event operations.
• Track orders, budgets, and handle attendee inquiries.
• Provide on‑site support during events, including occasional work outside standard office hours.
• Maintain consistency with company standards and deliver a service‑oriented experience.

Required profile

• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Customer‑service mindset focused on positive participant experiences.
• Interest or experience in food service, catering coordination, and event logistics.
• Organizational and time‑management abilities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Proficiency with standard office software and familiarity with digital scheduling tools.
• Reliability and flexibility for occasional after‑hours support.
• Previous experience in hospitality, events, administration, or operations is a plus.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Bern and perform some tasks remotely.
