Payroll Consultant – People Advisory Services (Zurich)

About the role

EY's People Advisory Services (PAS) department is looking for a motivated, flexible consultant for its Client Payroll team in Zurich. The role supports national and international clients in payroll and HR administration, and part-time positions and returnees are welcome.

Key responsibilities

• Support national and international clients in payroll and HR administration
• Manage payroll accounting, including communication with clients, tax authorities and social security institutions
• Collaborate with nearshore and offshore teams to ensure timely completion of monthly payroll processes
• Contribute to business development, including client acquisition and local networking
• Work on internal and external projects from day one, gaining insight into technical topics, industries and business functions

Required profile

• Completed commercial apprenticeship with a strong interest in payroll
• One to two years of practical experience in payroll and social security/employment tax
• English and German; French and/or Italian is an asset
• Independence, resilience and a client-focused mindset, eager to learn and adaptable to a fast-evolving environment

Required skills

• Solid knowledge of and hands-on experience with MS Office
• Familiarity with ABACUS and/or SAP is a plus
