Pharmaceutical Project Engineer – CAPEX Projects

About the role

Techfirm Engineering is seeking a Pharmaceutical Project Engineer to lead CAPEX projects for pharma and biotech clients in the German‑speaking region of Switzerland. You will guide projects from concept through commissioning, qualification and hand‑over to operations, ensuring strict compliance with GMP and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate CAPEX projects from design to operational hand‑over.
• Manage scope, schedule, budget, risks and deliverables while aligning with GMP requirements.
• Serve as the main interface between engineering, process, production, QA, validation, suppliers and external partners.
• Drive technical discussions, support engineering teams and review technical documentation (URS, specifications, design packages).
• Coordinate FAT/SAT activities, equipment implementation, commissioning and qualification.
• Identify risks, manage changes and ensure effective communication across all stakeholders.

Required profile

• 5–10 years of experience in pharmaceutical or biotech project management.
• Strong background in Process Engineering within GMP‑regulated environments.
• Proven track record managing CAPEX projects and leading multidisciplinary teams.
• Fluent German (mandatory) and ability to start in September 2026.
• Structured, proactive and solution‑oriented mindset.
