About the role

Inselspital, Bern University Hospital, offers a fully funded PhD position in lipid metabolism, supported by the Swiss National Science Foundation. The project combines pre-clinical models with clinical studies and offers multi-disciplinary training in molecular biology, biochemistry, analytical chemistry and computational biology. The position is available from November 2026 or upon agreement.

Required profile

Master's degree or equivalent in biochemistry, system biology or analytical chemistry
Experience working with mass spectrometry is essential; knowledge of mass spectrometry imaging is an advantage
Highly organized, able to work independently and within a team
Fluency in spoken and written English is essential
