About the role
Inselspital, Bern University Hospital, offers a fully funded PhD position in lipid metabolism, supported by the Swiss National Science Foundation. The project combines pre-clinical models with clinical studies and offers multi-disciplinary training in molecular biology, biochemistry, analytical chemistry and computational biology. The position is available from November 2026 or upon agreement.
Required profile
- Master's degree or equivalent in biochemistry, system biology or analytical chemistry
- Experience working with mass spectrometry is essential; knowledge of mass spectrometry imaging is an advantage
- Highly organized, able to work independently and within a team
- Fluency in spoken and written English is essential
