Postdoctoral Researcher - Systems and Hardware Security

About the role

The Computer Security Group, part of the Department of Information Technology and Electrical Engineering at ETH Zurich, is looking for a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to join its research group. The group works on hot topics in systems and hardware security, building analysis techniques to uncover hidden attack surfaces and designing and implementing systems to protect against attacks, covering topics such as hardware design security, microarchitectural security and DRAM security.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with PhD students while establishing a new line of research in the group.
• Contribute to the teaching and supervision activities of the group.
• Carry out technical work from analysis and prototyping to low-level software and hardware security analysis.

Required profile

• Already obtained or very close to obtaining a PhD in computer science or electrical engineering from a reputable university.
• Experience in systems and/or hardware security, or a PhD in computer systems or hardware design with an interest in switching to security.
• A strong publication record in top venues in systems security.
• Strong writing and communication skills.
• Experience and/or interest in supervision and education.
