Data Scientist - Machine Learning (Freelance)

About the role

RealAdvisor, a Swiss-founded digital platform supporting 7,000+ real estate agencies across Europe, is looking for a business-oriented Data Scientist to join as a fully remote, full-time freelance consultant. The role consolidates and analyzes product, marketing and transactional data, builds machine learning models and experiments to drive subscription growth, and turns insights into product and marketing actions.

Key responsibilities

• Aggregate data from product, marketing, CRM and transactional systems into reliable datasets
• Run product analytics on feature usage, user journeys and retention drivers
• Design and run experiments (A/B tests, cohort analysis, population and variation control) to validate hypotheses and measure causal impact
• Build ML models for revenue optimization, churn prediction, segmentation and subscription forecasting
• Analyze marketing performance to measure acquisition efficiency, LTV and campaign ROI
• Propose product changes, growth experiments and operational KPIs, and report via dashboards and data storytelling
• Work with product, marketing, engineering and country managers to standardize metrics and training
• Maintain data quality by identifying polluted data and implementing ETL checks

Required profile

• 3+ years in data science or analytics
• Experience consolidating diverse data sources and building analytical pipelines
• Experiment design and causal inference methods
• Practical ML experience (classification, regression, segmentation) and model evaluation
• Ability to build dashboards and present insights clearly
• Business mindset: translates technical results into measurable outcomes
• Proactive, able to own end-to-end delivery with limited supervision

Required skills

• Python and SQL
• Product analytics tools; dashboards such as Looker, Tableau or Power BI
• Nice to have: subscription business experience, marketing attribution and LTV modeling, frontend/backend development, Airflow, dbt, Spark, and experience with international markets and multilingual data
