Private Chef – High-End Household (Geneva)

About the role

A prestigious household in Geneva is looking for a private chef who can prepare two multi-course meals each day for the employer and their family. The role involves menu design, kitchen management, supplier relations and preparing meals for household staff, with a flexible schedule and the possibility of international travel.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare two multi-course meals daily (lunch and dinner) and design menus with a strong emphasis on traditional Italian cuisine, coordinated with the butler
• Use high-quality, fresh and organic ingredients and keep the kitchen well stocked with ready-to-eat meals and snacks
• Maintain strict hygiene and food safety standards, including proper storage, labeling and preservation of food
• Oversee daily cleaning of the kitchen and periodic deep cleaning of storage areas, cabinets and appliances
• Negotiate prices with suppliers, visit local markets daily if possible, manage inventory and provide monthly expense reports
• Prepare meals for household staff on working days, including when the employer is away

Required profile

• Proven experience as a private chef in high-end households
• Strong knowledge of international cuisines, especially Italian and vegetarian dishes
• Experience with organic and farm-to-table cooking preferred
• Willingness to travel internationally (up to 50% of the time) and flexibility in work hours and days off
• Fluency in English; French and/or Italian is a plus
