Private Household Housekeeper / House Manager

About the role

A private household in Gstaad is looking for a highly skilled housekeeper / house manager to maintain the highest standards of housekeeping and laundry while overseeing general household operations. The role requires flexibility, especially when the client is present, with additional staff hired during their stay.

Key responsibilities

• Cleaning and organizing the chalet to a high standard, handling delicate fabrics, fine linens and luxury garments with care
• Keeping all rooms immaculate and guest-ready
• Managing household supplies and inventory
• Overseeing household operations and coordinating with external vendors
• Assisting with household planning and organization when the client is in residence
• Supervising and working alongside additional staff during peak periods
• Adapting work hours to the client's schedule and being available for occasional extra tasks

Required profile

• Proven experience in high-end housekeeping; house management experience is a plus
• Fluency in at least one language: English, French or Russian
• Valid driver's license and knowledge of the Gstaad area
• Ability to work independently and with discretion, and flexibility to adapt to the family's needs
