Procurement & Category Manager – IT Applications & Software

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Procurement & Category Manager to lead the IT Applications & Software portfolio for a leading finance client in Switzerland. Reporting to the Chief Procurement Officer, you will shape procurement strategy, drive supplier consolidation and support cloud migration initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute category strategies for enterprise applications, SaaS and software solutions, including spend analysis and supplier mapping.
• Lead sourcing events, RFI/RFP processes and complex commercial negotiations with major vendors such as Microsoft, SAP and Salesforce.
• Assess large software portfolios, identify rationalisation opportunities and support cloud migration programmes.
• Partner with senior IT, digital and business leaders to embed procurement early in technology road‑maps and influence decision‑making.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in strategic procurement, category management or strategic sourcing, with a focus on software, SaaS or enterprise technology.
• Proven track record of leading large‑scale IT transformation, application rationalisation or cloud migration projects.
• Strong influencing skills with senior business and technology stakeholders in complex international organisations.
