Product Cybersecurity Expert

About the role

As a Product Cybersecurity Expert, you will play a key role in ensuring cybersecurity is embedded into the development of Sonova's connected hearing solutions—from embedded software and mobile applications to cloud‑based services. Working closely with software engineers, product teams, architects, quality and regulatory experts, you will integrate security into every stage of the product development lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Integrate cybersecurity throughout the Secure Software Development Lifecycle for embedded software, mobile apps and cloud services.
• Lead threat‑modeling activities, risk assessments and mitigation planning with global R&D teams.
• Embed security into development workflows, DevSecOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
• Coordinate product vulnerability management, including assessment, prioritisation, remediation tracking and post‑market monitoring.
• Support regulatory submissions and quality processes by preparing cybersecurity documentation and evidence.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of experience in software engineering or product development, with at least 3 years hands‑on product cybersecurity.
• Strong understanding of Secure SDLC and ability to work closely with engineering teams throughout the product lifecycle.
• Excellent communication skills to explain complex security topics to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
