Product Design Engineer – Mechanical & Electrical Development

About the role

We are looking for a Product Design Engineer to lead the development of new apparatus products. You will create detailed CAD models, validate hardware, and support both electrical planning and technical documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop new apparatus products from concept to production.
• Create CAD drawings for newly designed components.
• Check solution availability with suppliers.
• Provide technical support for product management, service, and sales teams.
• Validate hardware and assist with troubleshooting at customer sites.
• Support electrical planning using EPlan P8.
• Maintain and update technical documentation.

Required profile

• University degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or a comparable field.
• Experience developing hardware components such as electric cabinets, pneumatic and hydraulic circuits.
• Proficiency with at least one CAD tool, preferably Autodesk Inventor, and familiarity with PLM systems.
• Knowledge of electrical CAD using EPlan P8.
• Structured, detail‑oriented, reliable and self‑driven work style.
• Fluent German and English, both spoken and written.
