Product Designer – AI Code Review Platform

About the role

Sonar is seeking a passionate product design generalist to shape the experience of its AI‑driven code quality and security platform. You will join a product area focused on helping developers and autonomous agents write safer, more reliable software.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end product design for a dedicated squad and champion world‑class user experiences.
• Research and map complex developer and agent workflows to create intuitive, high‑functionality solutions.
• Integrate AI throughout the design process to accelerate research synthesis, automate repetitive tasks, and prototype efficiently.
• Gather user and customer feedback to deeply understand needs and translate them into design concepts.
• Collaborate with product designers to maintain a cohesive information architecture across the platform.
• Partner with product management to define problems and deliver design solutions through the full development lifecycle.
• Work early with engineering to assess feasibility, uncover edge cases, and ensure technical viability.
• Contribute to the evolution of design processes, tools, and collaborative frameworks within the team.

Required profile

• Proven experience structuring data‑heavy environments and mapping user journeys that reduce friction.
• Demonstrated curiosity and hands‑on use of AI tools to speed research, ideation, and design delivery.
• Self‑starter attitude with the ability to identify UX gaps and propose improvements proactively.
• Strong communication skills to articulate design decisions to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Comfortable in a cross‑functional setting where feedback is shared openly and success is a team effort.
• Delivery mindset – ownership continues beyond hand‑off to ensure implementation quality.
• Bonus: technical background in computer science or software development.
