Production Operator – Buffer Preparation (5‑month contract)

About the role

We are seeking a Production Operator to join our Buffer Preparation Production (Module P) team in Visp for a 5‑month assignment covering a long‑term sick‑leave. The role involves executing GMP‑compliant manufacturing activities, operating equipment, and ensuring accurate process documentation to support on‑time delivery and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Perform buffer manufacturing and aliquoting in accordance with GMP standards.
• Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot production equipment.
• Execute manufacturing steps following approved SOPs and batch records.
• Complete production documentation accurately using MES, DeltaV or equivalent systems.
• Support maintenance, qualification, and validation activities.
• Assist with onboarding and training of new team members.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional production teams and contribute to continuous‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Completed vocational training in a technical, pharmaceutical, chemical, biotechnology, food production or related field.
• Initial experience in a GMP‑regulated manufacturing environment.
• Good German communication skills.
• Willingness to work a 4‑shift rotation (05:00‑13:00 / 13:00‑21:00 / 21:00‑05:00).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Required skills

• Experience with MES or similar production systems.
• Familiarity with DeltaV control system.
• Use of electronic batch records.
