Production Planner

About the role

As a Production Planner reporting to the S&OP Production Planning Manager, you will ensure reliable and efficient planning of customized machine projects and spare parts business for Hapa, a leader in pharmaceutical packaging solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and schedule customized machine projects and spare parts orders based on milestones, customer requirements, and operational priorities.
• Translate demand into realistic production and assembly plans, balancing project and spare‑parts requirements while ensuring reliable delivery.
• Monitor and optimise production and assembly capacities, identifying bottlenecks and developing mitigation scenarios.
• Align short‑ and mid‑term capacities, project priorities, lead times and delivery commitments in close collaboration with Assembly, Project Management and Purchasing.
• Integrate external production partners and extended workbench capacities into the overall plan.
• Release production orders with all required information and documentation.
• Monitor material availability, coordinate shortages and critical components with Purchasing, Assembly, Warehouse and external partners.
• Maintain accurate planning parameters, lead times and master data, and provide transparency on capacity constraints and delivery risks.

Required profile

• Technical or commercial education with strong understanding of industrial production and manufacturing processes.
• At least 2 years of experience in production planning, project planning or supply‑chain management in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in special‑purpose machinery or project‑driven manufacturing is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of capacity planning, material flows and production processes.
• Ability to manage complex project plans and a high‑volume spare‑parts business with changing priorities.
• Experience coordinating external manufacturing partners and cross‑site material flows.
• Structured, analytical and solution‑oriented mindset.
• Good German and English language skills.
