Production Plant Operator – Shift Work (100%)

About the role

Microcaps, a spin‑off from ETH Zurich, is scaling its micro‑encapsulation technology for fine fragrances and cosmetics. We are looking for a dedicated Production Plant Operator to join our new Worben site on a full‑time shift schedule. You will work closely with the industrialisation team to run, monitor and optimise the production line.

Key responsibilities

• Independent operation, monitoring and cleaning of production equipment during early and late shifts.
• Coordinate raw‑material supply and intermediate production to ensure uninterrupted workflow.
• Execute work instructions and in‑process controls with precise documentation.
• Support troubleshooting of out‑of‑spec batches together with Quality and Development teams.
• Perform minor repairs, routine maintenance and contribute to plant optimisation initiatives.
• Apply LEAN and shop‑floor management principles to reduce waste and improve efficiency.

Required profile

• Swiss Federal Certificate of Competence (EFZ) in a technical field such as polymechanic, production mechanic or plant operator, or equivalent training (e.g., baker/chef with technical experience).
• 3–5 years of experience in a GMP‑regulated production environment (food, cosmetics, pharma or related sectors).
• Strong technical understanding and a proactive, “can‑do” attitude.
