Program Manager – Education and Innovation

About the role

The Swiss Data Science Center (SDSC) seeks a Program Manager to lead its continuing‑education portfolio and support applied‑innovation activities. You will act as a bridge between research, engineering, and academic, industrial, and public‑sector partners, translating their needs into high‑impact training programs, events, and collaborative projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, launch and manage training offerings for executives, AI experts and partner workforces, from lead qualification to program design and delivery.
• Design, plan and run community‑building events such as hackathons, conferences and workshops.
• Represent SDSC with academic and non‑academic entities, cultivating new collaborations in continuing education.
• Handle leads for applied‑research collaborations, coordinate responses to calls for projects and manage contracting with clients.
• Produce educational material in AI and data‑science topics and deliver courses or hands‑on workshops when needed.

Required profile

• Proven experience in program or project management, preferably in continuing education, innovation or technology transfer.
• Good understanding of data science, AI and the Swiss academic‑innovation ecosystem.
• Strong relationship‑building and negotiation skills with stakeholders ranging from executives to researchers.
• Experience organising conferences, workshops or hackathons.
• Master’s or PhD in a relevant field (e.g., data science, engineering, business, education) or equivalent professional experience.
• Fluency in English and French; German is a plus.
