Programme Director - Avaloq Harmonization (Europe & Asia)

About the role

Deutsche Bank Private Bank (DB PB) is transforming its Avaloq Core Banking Platform landscape across Europe and Asia, and TDI Private Bank builds, enhances and operates the technology behind the Private Bank businesses. As Programme Director of the TDI PB team, you will lead the global Avaloq harmonization programme with end-to-end accountability, working with senior stakeholders across Business, Operations, Infrastructure, Architecture, Risk, Compliance, Finance and external partners.

Key responsibilities

• Define, maintain and execute the strategic roadmap for Avaloq harmonization and drive the transition to a globally aligned target architecture, operating model and governance framework.
• Lead a complex portfolio of technology and business workstreams across multiple jurisdictions, covering platform harmonization, migrations, releases and transformation milestones.
• Establish executive governance forums, steering committees and Design Authority structures, and manage stakeholder engagement and escalation.
• Manage programme scope, delivery, budget, risks and benefits, with robust controls and reporting.
• Promote standardization, reuse and reduced bespoke solutions, and foster automation, AI-enabled delivery and industrialized testing.
• Ensure adherence to risk, control and regulatory frameworks, and oversee audit, regulatory and remediation commitments.
• Lead a globally distributed delivery organization, including talent management, succession planning and leadership development.

Required profile

• Extensive experience leading large-scale business and technology transformation programmes in global financial institutions.
• Proven track record of Core Banking or Wealth Management platform transformations, and significant experience managing multi-country programmes across Europe and Asia.
• Demonstrated success in executive stakeholder engagement and governance, and in managing strategic vendor and partner relationships.
• Strong understanding of Private Banking and Wealth Management processes, and of risk, regulatory and control frameworks.
• Preferred: Deutsche Bank Private Bank or comparable global wealth management background, platform consolidation experience, large-scale cloud transformation experience, and familiarity with automation and modern software engineering practices.

• Deep understanding of Avaloq and its operating models, delivery methodologies and ecosystem capabilities.
