Project Engineer

About the role

You will join a Swiss‑based automation team to design, program and commission plant‑specific control applications. The role combines software development, system architecture and on‑site commissioning for modern automation stations.

Key responsibilities

• Design and program application software for PLC‑based automation stations and the company’s high‑performance control system.
• Support project management and sales by creating complex control‑technology and network architectures.
• Perform final network simulations and software tests in the internal test lab to ensure error‑free delivery.
• Assist during commissioning, either remotely or on‑site at customer facilities in Switzerland.

Required profile

• Completed studies in electrical engineering, systems engineering, automation technology or an equivalent technical qualification (e.g., HF/TS).
• Several years of proven experience in design, engineering and programming of Instrumentation & Control (I&C) projects.
• Strong quality awareness, initiative and a customer‑oriented team attitude.
• Fluent German (C1/C2) for effective communication with Swiss clients.
