Project Manager – Capital Projects (CAPEX)

About the role

Roche is shaping the future of its Rotkreuz site by investing in new buildings, facilities and modern process plants. As a Project Manager for CAPEX, you will lead the design and execution of capital projects, ensuring they meet strategic, safety, sustainability and cost objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure project design and execution align with approved credit applications, URB, URS, project charter and PEP (scope, functionality, capacity, cost, schedule, SHE, sustainability, maintenance, reliability, quality, construction safety).
• Build, onboard and lead the engineering team, coordinate activities and secure required resources.
• Maintain compliance with corporate, site directives, SOPs, local laws and building codes.
• Implement project controls covering scope, cost, schedule, progress, risk and change management; provide monthly cost and schedule forecasts (PMR) from PI to HO.
• Report project status, key issues and corrective actions to the project steering committee on a regular basis.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, construction or a related field.
• 5‑10 years of experience managing capital projects, preferably in the DIA process.
• Proven ability to lead large, matrix‑structured teams and collaborate across all project levels.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and planning capabilities.
