Project Manager – New Marine Engines

About the role

WinGD is seeking a Project Manager to lead the development of new two‑stroke marine engines. You will be responsible for steering projects from concept through design, testing and handover, ensuring they meet performance, safety and sustainability targets.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical and administrative leadership for engine development projects.
• Develop detailed project plans, timelines, milestones and allocate resources.
• Coordinate cross‑functional teams including engineering, design and product centres.
• Oversee engine test planning and validation against specifications and safety standards.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation for audit and compliance.
• Identify and resolve technical issues during execution.
• Communicate progress and risks to all stakeholders.
• Manage and mitigate project risks throughout the lifecycle.

Required profile

• University degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 2‑3 years of project management experience.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in 2‑ or 4‑stroke diesel/otto engine development, preferably marine.
• PMP (PMI) certification or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of marine engine engineering processes and shipping regulations.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Passion for prototype development and delivering results.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English.
