Project Manager Retrofit

About the role

WinGD is seeking a Project Manager Retrofit to lead large‑scale retrofit projects for marine engines. Based in Winterthur, you will work closely with R&D, product, supply chain and service teams to ensure technical and commercial feasibility from the quotation stage onward.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare commercial and technical feasibility studies for retrofit projects at the early quotation stage.
• Develop and execute detailed project plans, defining scope, objectives, deliverables and timelines.
• Coordinate cross‑functional resources, assign tasks and maintain clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.
• Monitor progress, track milestones, manage risks and resolve issues to ensure timely, quality delivery.
• Facilitate regular project meetings, status updates and stakeholder communications.
• Manage project budgets, expenses and resource allocations, tracking costs and variances.

Required profile

• BSc or MSc in Mechanical Engineering or Marine Engineering.
• Solid experience in engine building, service and/or design within an international manufacturing or maritime environment.
• Business‑oriented mindset with ability to consider financial and time constraints.
• Adaptable, flexible and able to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong relationship‑building skills with key customers and internal sales teams.
• Willingness to travel internationally (approximately 20‑30% of the time).
