Project Operations Manager – Eswatini Programme

About the role

The International Trade Centre (ITC) is looking for a Project Operations Manager to lead the implementation of its Eswatini Programme. Working remotely from Eswatini, you will ensure that project activities are delivered on time, meet agreed indicators and contribute to the country’s agricultural and private‑sector development goals.

Key responsibilities

• Submit monthly progress reports that document activity completion, results against the workplan and validation of project indicators.
• Monitor and support the implementation of ITC’s Eswatini project targets, ensuring alignment with the programme’s workplan.
• Facilitate strong partnerships with government bodies, MSMEs, business support organisations and other stakeholders, capturing feedback in written communications.
• Increase project visibility through coordinated communication activities, including local media and partner outreach.
• Coordinate with ITC headquarters in Geneva and EU funding partners to ensure compliance and effective resource use.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing development‑oriented projects, preferably in agriculture or value‑chain contexts.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote setting and deliver high‑quality reports.
• Strong understanding of public‑private partnership mechanisms and stakeholder engagement.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of local languages is an advantage.
