QA Automation Engineer

About the role

Ontinue is seeking a QA Automation Engineer to scale quality across a fast‑moving engineering team that builds AI‑assisted security solutions. You will own test automation, release readiness and help the team maintain high quality while moving quickly.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement automated tests for frontend, backend and API flows using Playwright.
• Write test scripts in TypeScript or C# based on the best fit for the project.
• Test microservices‑based systems, understanding dependencies, release sequencing and service interactions.
• Coordinate release readiness, prioritising test coverage and grouping releases.
• Validate Azure‑based and event‑driven workflows, including Service Bus topics and related integrations.
• Combine automation with manual and exploratory testing where it adds the most value.

Required profile

• At least 4 years of professional experience in QA, test automation or software engineering.
• Strong experience with modern automation frameworks (Playwright or similar) and frontend/API testing.
• Practical understanding of release coordination in microservices environments.
• Ability to work independently, organise work and create scalable processes.
• Curious and adaptable, open to using AI‑assisted tools to improve efficiency.
