Quality Control Technician (80-100% FTE)

About the role

Microcaps is seeking a Quality Control Technician to ensure that its innovative microcapsule products meet strict quality standards and customer specifications. Working in a fast‑growing cosmetics and fragrance environment, you will perform laboratory tests, document results and support product releases.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct quality control testing of incoming goods, intermediates, bulk materials and finished products.
• Perform measurements such as pH, density, refractive index and viscosity using basic lab equipment.
• Carry out visual and sensory evaluations of samples.
• Review manufacturing and weighing protocols and record data in the LIMS system.
• Assist in product release processes and, when out‑of‑spec results occur, support root‑cause analysis and CAPA implementation.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset.
• Ability to work independently and keep a well‑organized laboratory environment.
• Excellent communication skills in English and German.
• Valid work permit for Switzerland.

Required skills

• Laboratory techniques for pH, density, refractive index and viscosity measurements.
• Experience with microbiological testing (a plus).
• Proficiency with MS 365, LIMS and ERP systems.
• Good computer literacy.
