Quality Engineer (All genders)

About the role

Alfa Laval is seeking a hands‑on Quality Engineer to act as the bridge between Quality Assurance and Quality Control. You will work directly on the shop floor, supporting operational teams and driving continuous improvement while handling non‑conformities and customer claims.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary interface between Quality Management and Quality Control, fostering daily collaboration.
• Work side‑by‑side with production teams on the shop floor to understand challenges and support improvement initiatives.
• Back‑up management of non‑conformities, corrective actions, root‑cause analysis and customer claim handling.
• Conduct internal and external audits, prepare quality documentation (MDB, ITPs, certificates) and support inspections with Notified Bodies.
• Monitor the site metrology program, including calibration and inspection equipment.

Required profile

• Engineering degree or equivalent technical background.
• At least 5 years of quality‑related experience in an industrial environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
• Fluent in English; good command of French; German is a plus.
• Proactive, solution‑oriented mindset with attention to detail.

Required skills

• Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management principles.
• Familiarity with ATEX and PED regulations (plus).
• Experience with calibration and metrology equipment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
