Quantitative Analyst – Data Engineering & Research Support

About the role

We are looking for a Quantitative Analyst to join a fast‑paced research environment in Switzerland. The role sits at the intersection of quantitative research, data engineering, and analytical problem‑solving, supporting researchers with high‑quality datasets, internal tools, and workflow improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Discover, validate, clean, and maintain research and production datasets.
• Monitor production systems, analyse logs and investigate data or system inconsistencies.
• Support ad‑hoc research requests and perform exploratory data analysis.
• Design and build internal tools, scripts, and automation utilities using Python.
• Collaborate with quantitative researchers and engineers to improve research infrastructure and operational efficiency.

Required profile

• Highly analytical, detail‑oriented and comfortable working with large, complex datasets.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and curiosity for understanding technical systems.
• Background in STEM fields (Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering) is a plus.
• No prior finance or trading experience required.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Python with clean, maintainable code.
• Experience with Pandas and NumPy for data manipulation and analysis.
