About the role
ABB is looking for an R&D Testing & Lab Specialist (m/w/d) working 80-100% of the time in Schaffhausen. The position reports to the R&D Team Lead and contributes to the Electrification, Smart Buildings, Energy Distribution business. It is an onsite role.
Key responsibilities
- Set up and carry out tests for different products according to standard testing methodologies and requirements.
- Ensure proper documentation of test results.
- Support the planning and implementation of test plans.
- Identify and suggest solutions for product non-conformities.
- Assist external certification inspectors during testing of ABB products or products for external customers.
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree or Techniker HF in electrical or electronic engineering.
- Knowledge of instrumentation and electrical systems.
- Qualified in setting up and running test setups and systems.
- Collaborative, solution-focused approach and strong written and spoken communication skills.
- Fluent German (spoken and written); English is an advantage.
