Real Estate Controller (12‑month contract)

About the role

Hitachi Energy seeks an experienced Real Estate Controller for a 12‑month fixed‑term assignment to drive financial excellence across its global real‑estate portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee accounting, financial reporting and performance analysis for the global real‑estate portfolio, including investment and corporate properties.
• Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, cash‑flow analyses and financial plans supporting business objectives.
• Develop, implement and continuously improve internal controls, financial policies and governance frameworks for real‑estate activities.
• Conduct financial due diligence and provide commercial assessments for acquisitions, disposals, leasing transactions and strategic investments.
• Monitor portfolio performance against financial targets, KPIs and market benchmarks, identifying improvement opportunities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration; Master’s degree or professional certification (CPA, ACCA, CMA) is a plus.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in financial controlling, real‑estate finance or accounting within an international environment.
• Strong knowledge of real‑estate accounting principles, including lease accounting under IFRS 16 or ASC 842.
• Proficiency with ERP systems such as SAP and advanced Excel; experience with reporting and BI tools is a plus.
