Regional Head of Procurement

About the role

Rothschild & Co is seeking an experienced Regional Head of Procurement to lead procurement and third‑party risk management activities across Switzerland, Germany and Spain. Based in Zurich, you will work closely with Global Procurement, Finance, Legal, Compliance and business stakeholders to ensure efficient, compliant and value‑driven supplier management.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and oversee procurement and third‑party risk management (TPRM) activities in the region.
• Develop and maintain internal policies aligned with regulatory requirements such as DORA and EBA/FINMA guidelines.
• Design and implement scalable procurement and vendor management processes.
• Drive strategic sourcing initiatives, supplier consolidation and cost optimisation.
• Lead supplier selection, negotiations and contract management in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
• Oversee vendor onboarding, due diligence and ongoing risk monitoring.
• Maintain accurate third‑party registers and ensure audit readiness.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes and enhance automation.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in procurement and/or third‑party risk management, preferably in financial services or a regulated environment.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as DORA, EBA and FINMA.
• Proven track record in process improvement, strategic sourcing and contract negotiation.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills within a matrix organisation.
• Analytical, structured and solution‑oriented mindset.
• Degree in Business, Procurement, Legal, Compliance or a related field.
