Registered Nurse – Clinical Research (Switzerland)

About the role

We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join a leading healthcare provider in Switzerland, supporting clinical research activities across multiple sites. The role involves performing venipuncture, handling specimens, and ensuring a safe, patient‑centred experience.

Key responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and collect blood samples following clinical protocols.
• Verify patient identity and label specimens accurately to maintain sample integrity.
• Prepare patients for collection, explain procedures, and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Follow infection prevention and control standards at all times.
• Document procedures precisely and keep complete patient records.
• Store, handle, and transport specimens according to laboratory requirements.
• Maintain clinical equipment and ensure supplies are stocked.
• Comply with local healthcare regulations, quality standards, and confidentiality rules.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver efficient patient care.

Required profile

• Valid RN qualification with an active nursing license.
• Eligibility to work in Switzerland.
• Experience in venipuncture and blood sample collection.
• Strong understanding of infection control and patient safety.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining high clinical standards.
• Attention to detail and accurate documentation.
• Basic computer literacy for clinical documentation.
