Regular Data Engineer

About the role

DXC Luxoft is hiring a Regular Data Engineer in Zurich within its BI Engineering team, in the BCM industry. The role focuses on designing and delivering governed data pipelines and reusable data products for the UBS operation platform, ensuring data quality, lineage, security and performance, and enabling reliable integration with analytics and AI use cases.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver governed data pipelines and reusable data products for the UBS operation platform
• Ensure data quality, lineage, security and performance, and enable integration with analytics and AI use cases across approved platforms
• Work in the development team to support the development of portfolio health insights
• Produce clear, commented code and clear, comprehensive documentation

Required profile

• 5-8+ years of experience as a Data Engineer, ideally in a large corporate environment
• Fluent English, written and spoken
• Excellent stakeholder interaction and communication skills, able to handle ambiguity and speak to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Comfortable working in cross-functional global teams and taking the lead on complex tasks
• Analytical, logical, with strong problem-solving skills; passionate about development with a focus on data and cloud

Required skills

• In-depth knowledge of SQL and data modelling/data processing
• Strong experience with Microsoft Azure
• Data pipelines developed and maintained with Databricks
• Visualisation tools such as PowerBI
• Git, JIRA and GitLab
• Understanding of performance implications in design, end-to-end SDLC, and delivery of complex data apps on tight timelines
