Remote Accountant – International Finance

About the role

We are seeking a remote Accountant to support international accounting operations for a fast‑growing global organization. Based in Switzerland, you will maintain accurate financial records, ensure statutory compliance, and contribute to month‑end and year‑end closing across multiple jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities

• Record financial transactions accurately using ERP systems and maintain data integrity.
• Perform reconciliations for accounts payable, receivable, fixed assets, banks, payroll and intercompany balances.
• Support monthly, quarterly and annual closing processes, including balance‑sheet reconciliations and variance analysis.
• Ensure compliance with local statutory and tax requirements such as VAT and corporate income tax filings.
• Assist with statutory reporting, financial statement preparation and audit support.
• Analyze financial information, identify discrepancies and drive process improvements.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate reporting and efficient operations.
• Leverage automation and AI‑enabled tools to improve accounting workflows.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Post‑qualification accounting experience in a corporate or international finance environment.
• Strong understanding of GAAP principles and financial reporting practices.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced, high‑growth setting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently while collaborating with distributed teams.
