About the role

Turing is seeking a Contract Law and Commercial Transactions specialist to evaluate and improve AI-generated legal reasoning. This fully remote freelance position focuses on reviewing AI responses to U.S. contract law hypotheticals, including formation, breach, UCC Article 2 disputes, and damages calculations.

Key responsibilities

• Review AI‑generated answers to contract law scenarios and assess accuracy against common law and UCC principles.
• Apply a structured rubric to spot issues, evaluate issue‑spotting, and judge proper application of doctrines such as consideration, conditions precedent, and liquidated damages.
• Identify gaps in AI reasoning and provide detailed annotations and written feedback.
• Collaborate with researchers and project managers to align evaluation standards and project goals.

Required profile

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited U.S. law school and active or inactive bar admission.
• Minimum 3 years of practice in U.S. contract law, commercial transactions, or related litigation.
• Strong analytical and written communication skills with high attention to detail.
• High ethical standards; interest in AI is a plus.
