Remote Junior Social Media Manager (Contract)

About the role

We are looking for a creative, community‑driven Social Media Manager to lead the Instagram and TikTok presence of a premium dog brand based in Manhattan. The role starts with a 30‑day paid trial and may evolve into a long‑term partnership, working fully remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Create and edit 15 high‑quality video posts each month that reflect the brand’s approachable‑luxury aesthetic.
• Publish three engaging Instagram Stories daily to keep the community active.
• Organise weekly content reviews and incorporate feedback.
• Manage community interactions by responding to comments and direct messages to foster loyalty and retention.
• Use provided brand assets to ensure visual consistency across all posts.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing social media for local businesses or premium/luxury brands, with a focus on community building.
• Strong portfolio showcasing community‑focused social media work.
• Familiarity with New York City culture and the local pet community is a plus.
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and adapt to feedback.

Required skills

• Advanced video‑editing skills.
• Deep knowledge of Instagram and TikTok best practices, including content scheduling and analytics.
• Excellent written communication and ability to adopt a warm, inclusive brand voice.
