Reporting, Process Excellence & Data Science Director

About the role

MSC Cruises is looking for a Reporting, Process Excellence & Data Science Director to lead the design, development and governance of FP&A analytics, reporting and process excellence initiatives. The role turns financial and operational data into actionable insights that support accurate forecasting, strategic decision-making and standardized, scalable processes across all brands.

Key responsibilities

• Design and maintain standardized reporting frameworks and KPI dashboards, automate reporting and tailor reports to executive, HQ and local stakeholders.
• Define and enforce FP&A process standards, implement process improvements and develop documentation, workflows and KPI dictionaries.
• Partner with Finance Business Partners, align dashboards and reporting cycles with FP&A teams, and guide and train them on analytics tools.
• Lead a team of Data, Reporting and Process Excellence Analysts and define the strategic roadmap for analytics and FP&A process improvement.
• Build predictive and prescriptive models for revenue, costs, occupancy and other metrics, run scenario analyses and collaborate with IT and Finance Transformation teams on data architecture and quality.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Data Science, Statistics or a related field; MBA preferred.
• 15+ years of experience in finance, analytics, reporting or related functions, including leadership responsibilities.
• Proven FP&A, financial modeling, forecasting and performance management experience, and experience leading analytics and process improvement initiatives.
• Experience managing teams and driving strategic transformation projects; exposure to multi-brand or multi-country organizations preferred.

Required skills

• Expertise in data analytics, business intelligence and forecasting.
• Advanced knowledge of Power BI, Python, R, SQL and similar tools.
• Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma and standardization frameworks.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, leadership and coaching abilities.
